Reflection Institute’s Pause. On. Purpose. (P.O.P.) Retreat
Early Bird Special until January 1, 2020. Reserve your spot today!
This retreat will bring a group of like-minded foodies together for a day of learning, interesting connections, and of course fabulous food! We will share the stories of our pasts and destinations of our futures, all centered around a love of food.
The Nitty Gritty
The Reflection Institute is excited to announce that we have partnered with Ann Arbor’s famous Zingerman’s Cornman farms to host our PAUSE. ON. PURPOSE. (P.O.P.) inaugural retreat, centered around the concept of foodfillment.
This one-day retreat on Saturday, April 4, 2020, will provide fellow foodie-focused folks (say that five times fast!) with an opportunity to PAUSE. ON. PURPOSE. One of our favorite mantras is: “It becomes bigger than you by focusing on you!” Come to our retreat to learn how your relationship with food serves a bigger purpose — one centered around you, your family, your broader community, and the world.

Flow of the retreat:
Saturday, April 4, 2020: We’ll have a JAM packed day! (Foodie pun intended). Everything from sensory experiences, mindful cooking classes, a foodie panel discussion, and much more!
08:00: Welcome Breakfast at The Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor: Come prepared to share a toast to ‘foodfillment’ and what that means to you! (Don’t worry; we’ll show you how to do this later!) Travel to Cornman Zingerman’s Farm and get settled in for the day ahead.
Morning: A time for reflection, discovery, and planning with a coach-facilitated workshop on your personal ‘foodie project’! All attendees to come with their own P.O.P (Pause. On. Purpose) foodie project. It can be anything from wanting to start your own coffee shop to learning how to be a better baker. Heck, if you want to go as big and bold as solving world hunger, this is the event for you! (Again, more guidance to come on this so don’t worry too much about it now).
Afternoon: Farm tour and mindful cooking class with world-class British chef, Kieron Hales, to prepare your own lunch and enjoy with new friends.
Late Afternoon: Presentation(s) from our inspiring panel of entrepreneurs and our amazing foodie partner, The Intrepid Foundation, followed by wrap-up work on P.O.P projects and our grand finale raffle!
17:00: Travel back to The Graduate Hotel for a champagne toast to close out the day amongst friends. We’re hoping many folks will opt to hang out even longer and dine at one of Ann Arbor’s foodie favored spots with us!
